Great Fishing Awaits at Lums State Park in Bear, Delaware
Lums Pond State Park in Bear, Delaware is one of the state’s most popular fishing destinations. This is the home of the largest freshwater pond in the state and its deep and clean waters are the habitat of many different types and sizes of fish.
Many fishers choose to bring a boat and make use of the launching facilities to begin their fishing adventure. Those who don’t have a watercraft of their own, however, can rent one for the day so that they can get out on the water, as well!
Fishing from the shore is extremely popular here, too, so even those who prefer to not go out on the water itself will have plenty of good fishing and good company. There are over 60 campsites at this nearly 1,800 acre park, so those who want to stay after hours have plenty of room to set up their tent and perhaps cook some of their day’s catch or, for more sophisticated campers, there are sites available with electric hookups. To make it even more appealing, there are showers right on site!
The park is open from 8am until sunset year round.
